West Los Angeles
Comfort Keepers has been serving seniors and their families in the Beverly Hills area since 2005. We help seniors maintain their independence, while living happy and healthy lives. Since our foundation over 10 years ago, we have expanded to provide care in many cities throughout Los Angeles County, including the West Los Angeles neighborhood.
West Los Angeles, or West L.A., is a neighborhood within the city of Los Angeles. It is located within the larger region, known as the “Westside,” which includes other neighborhoods, cities, and unincorporated areas such as Century City, Playa del Rey, Culver City, and Santa Monica. West L.A. is easily accessible by the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10) and the I-405. Locals get around the area via the Big Blue Bus, which also services Santa Monica.
West L.A. is home quite a bit of Japanese culture, with many Japanese-owned businesses located along Sawtelle Boulevard (also known as Little Osaka). It also has a prominent Hispanic community, as showcased by its many authentic Mexican restaurants.
Residents of West L.A. enjoy recreational activities at the West Los Angeles Japanese American Community Center, Cheviot Hills Park, Reynier Park, and the Rancho Park Golf Course. Many seniors citizens in West L.A. participate in activities held through the Felicia Mahood Senior Citizen Center. This center includes a community room, an auditorium, picnic tables, and a kitchen for various events and classes.
